My family arrived in the Kansas City area when I was five. So, this place has always been home to me. I graduated from Notre Dame de Sion High School and then attended Rockhurst University and obtained a double degree - a BSBA in Marketing and a BSBA Management. From there I found my way into the real estate finance industry where I worked for five years helping people accomplish their goals in home ownership.
After that I worked for a local pneumatic conveying company designing and selling systems that helped move large quantities of flour or sugar from rail cars or truckloads into the bakeries. I then went to the closing side of the real estate finance industry for a short period - it was just not quite a fit. So, I left that position and decided to start a small business in lawn and landscaping, which had always been a hobby for me - it flourished.
I recently sold that business that I personally started with a mower, blower, trimmer and a trailer. After 13 years of servicing commercial and residential accounts, I was blessed with being offered a total package buyout, which I accepted. I do miss the lawn care business, but I feel this is where God wants me at this time in my life.
I truly enjoyed this industry and it is with much excitement that I have returned to residential mortgage lending. It gives me great pleasure to help people through the process of either purchasing a new home or refinancing to reduce the overall cost of owning a home.
My personal philosophy is to put the people first and business second. By doing this I feel I can help people accomplish their personal or family goals in a way that few other mortgage professional can. My free time is consumed with keeping up with my two daughters and two dogs and volunteer work at my church.
